The state title you are competing for is the only one of its kind because of its reputation and dignity earned by its past winners. The purpose of World Youth Federation is to provide an outlet and to give recognition to wonderful people throughout the world. Winning is important, but not as important as the lessons of friendship and sportsmanship. Our organization and scholarship competition are dedicated to the participants and their families and want to make wonderful memories and lasting experiences for a lifetime.

Exchanging souvenir gifts is always fun and exciting to see what special gifts each gives the other. These gifts should be thoughtful and inexpensive tokens of friendship. Each souvenir should display your name and age division. Open food items or unsealed candy will not be allowed for your contestant’s safety. Please bring 50 souvenirs for contestants and royalty. COMPETITION:
|
All contestants will compete in personal interview, party wear/eveningwear, and casualwear. Contestants 7 years and up will also compete in talent.
Personal interview: will allow the judges to get to know each girl and their personality. We are looking for the “total package”:
Beautiful on the inside, as well as the outside. She should show self confidence and ease with others. Babies 0-35 months will be escorted in with 1 parent/chaperone. The parent/chaperone is to keep 1 hand on the child at all times. Contestants 3 years and up will be taken in groups of 5. Attire for interview is Sunday dress or suit- no pants or shorts. Make-up and hair should be very light and natural. No make-up on contestants under 35 months. Each contestant will introduce themselves with name, age, and hometown at the beginning of their interview.
Party wear/Eveningwear should be age appropriate. Long or short gown/dress is acceptable for all ages. There should be no bare midriff or side cutouts. There will be a group line-up at the completion of each age division.
Casualwear is off the rack and/or special designs. It should be age appropriate. There should be no glitz or glitter to the outfit such as rhinestones, glass beading, or sequins. This includes all accessories also. Swimsuits are not allowed. There should be no bare midriff or side cutouts. There will be a group line-up at the completion of each age division.
Talent is required for contestants 7 years and up. Costumes should be age appropriate. Only one talent presentation per contestant will be allowed. Please observe the time limit of 2:59. Disrobing is not allowed. Talents of a suggestive manner will disqualify the contestant from winning her age division although she may still place. Your talent music should be on either tape cassette or CD with only that selection and cued to begin. These are to be turned in during registration. An Overall Talent Winner will be chosen by the judges from those who enter from contestants 7 yrs and up.
Optional talent will be available for contestants of all ages. This event will be held before the Official talent and judged by a separate panel of judges. Age divisions are the same as for the Official Competition.
Modeling for all stage competitions is Miss America style. Straight, simple modeling and upbeat walk is used. No pro-am modeling (sassy walk, blowing kisses, etc) is allowed or removal of clothing.
Mothers or chaperones of those 35 months and under most not remove hands from babies at any time during the staging presentations and personal interview. This will cost the contestant from winning her age division although she may still place.
Please note that attire guidelines are different and are strictly enforced at the World Official Finals.
Optional events will be judged during party wear/eveningwear except for best casualwear. No alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs of any kind are allowed to be consumed by parents, guests, or older contestants in or near staging areas. This could cause contestants automatic disqualification.
